bear this...

Hey, i wished to be a Koala (when i was a kid). Turning me into a Panda (just because i grew up) isn't deference. See the difference?

Crooner, now I have to get in touch with your pet PETA. Seems like I can't bear this anymore.

*cheers*

Trevor: Are you going to Malaysia???? KL? When, for how long, etc etc?

(I haven't seen Kung Fu Panda either...)

Yeah, On the 26th - as of now the plan is to spend a couple days each in KL, Malacca and Tioman. I have a hunch that Genting is overrated. Suggestions??? :)

Honestly, I didn't think Malacca was worth spending the day on, but yes it was nice.

KL is a very happening place. There's a lot going on downtown. There's a place called Beach Club if you like dancing, they used to have a great band. If you like nature and stuff, they have the most amazing bird park in KL. For shopping, there's Chinatown, for fancy shopping KLCC (I think that's what it's called) and the MidValley Megamall, then non-fancy shopping chinatown and Central market. Central Market is great (local stuff).

Honestly, in KL, it's almost like you don't need to have a plan. There's so much of everything.

If you have the time you might want to check out Cameron Heights. It would probably take a day but I think it's worth it.

I've never been to Sarawak.

Where will you be staying?

Trevor Penn said...

I hear Malacca is famous for it's local cuisine???

I'm a foodie and a nature guy... So if i can find either or both, i'm a happy trotter. I'll be heading to Singapore after Malaysia so i think i'll be doing rounds of the bird park and the night safari there. I like to buy local ethnic stuff and trinkets so i might check out one of the markets that you suggested.

I've really wanted to go to Cameron Heights but i dont think i have enough time. My tour plan is flexible though, so i'll see if i can accommodate it.

Haven't planned my stay yet. Will have to look into it. Just a clean place and a shower is all i need.

Thanks a ton for your valuable input. :)

I've stayed at both fancy and non-fancy places in KL. If you don't need a five star hotel try the Corona Inn downtown, it's very modest but really charming in its own way. Also, it's walking distance to almost everything.

The food is awesome both in Singapore and KL. You won't even have to look for good restaurants, they're everywhere.

Trevor Penn said...

Gee, you've been great help, Agnes. I'll check the Corona out...

Coming to think of it, it wasn't in Atlanta. It was somewhere between Atlanta and Raleigh and definitely on the road trip back from Atlanta. And that was my ONLY one! :D
I was in the US 2002 - 2007. Had some of the best times there. Great memories. :-)

Oh, i live in Mumbai now.
