Why else do i always get offered a penny for my two cents' worth?
A penny for your thoughts.
I'm just passing the buck (read penny). :-)

28 on 28th
That's me. This is going to clear a lot of confusion. Well, I got tired of the joke anyway... :D
So, I'm in the process of preparing a bucket list of 28 things to do before my next birthday. Here's a few...
1. Donate blood today.
2. 28 shots over a weekend.
3. Invest a sum which is a multiple of 28.
4. Donate a sum which is a multiple of 28 and is at the very least 10% of my investment.
5. Donate 28 pieces of clothing.
6. Make a road trip to the Himalayas.
7. Splurge on an L lens.
8. Run a marathon.
9. Read 28 books.
10. Quit my job.
11. MotM - I'll elaborate later. ;-)
12. 28 posts or more on moon's croon.
13. Take Photogawker's post count to 280.
14. Shed 28 lbs.
I'm giving myself 28 days to fill and finalize that list. All suggestions welcome. :-)

Live-in
Are all live-ins like a promotion on a non-returnable product? I think they are.
***
I have a strong urge to use the nonexistent word - irregardless. Irregardless of my urge, i'll leave that for another day.

bear this...
Hey, i wished to be a Koala (when i was a kid). Turning me into a Panda (just because i grew up) isn't deference. See the difference?

Of you and we and their doubles
Have you ever wondered why 'W' is pronounced double-U?
I have the answer. It's because it looks like a pair of cascaded Us, UU, double-U.
Some of you might have an argument for VV, double-V ? Let me explain.
You see, the creator of the english alphabet had some not-so-smart neighbors. And, Creator-English Alphabet, wasn't a very high paying job either. Regular wagers with his foolish neighbors was the creator's additional source of income. What did they bet on? Only the most popular game of the pre-alphabet era, The Flip a Coin contest. The creator always fancied his chances playing the neighbors. The neighbors would say, "Heads you win, tails we lose." They also believed that if they kept playing, they'd get better. And so the creators fortune multiplied.
Cut to the day when the creator had to decide between double-U and double-V. His eyes fall on the lose change returned for his one cutting-chai. A smile envelopes his face as he thinks - heads U wins; tails V loses. Apparently elated with his play on the alphabet, the creator flips a coin. Honest.
P.S. Hey, Soul, you still do take me seriously, don't you? ;-)

RYB
Last i knew, the primary colors were Red, Green and Blue. RGB.
I had a heated debate with a photographer from London who insisted that the primary colors are Red, Yellow and Blue. RYB.
I am supposed to know this not only as a photography enthusiast but also as a fundamental that falls under the purview of my professional competence.
Did my teachers lie to me? :-(

Oeuvre de Shashank
For those of you who are interested, I've started posting on my photoblog, Oeuvre de Shashank. It's only 3 posts, i.e., 3 photographs old.
Btw, you can find the permalink to Oeuvre de Shashank on the right column of this blog.
I'm still working on the design and page info but that hasn't stopped me from posting there. :-)
I hope to see you there and more importantly I solicit your critique and/or comment on my skill or lack thereof.
